A current look at the clean-slate rebuild: the new Flutter library, deck and illustrated-book editing workflows, and the reference-image foundation now under development.
Project update
The clean-slate rebuild has moved well beyond its initial monorepo skeleton. The content pipeline, admin review foundation, and redesigned client now work together well enough to browse approved books and create personal deck or illustrated-book projects from them.
The screenshots below are from the current development client. They show real project data and working editing surfaces, but they do not represent a finished release. Consistent image generation, final card rendering, print-ready output, and fulfillment remain future work.
Current client
The Flutter client now provides a shared library and two related editing experiences. Light and dark themes and grid and carousel browsing are working in the current build.
- Browse nine prepared books in grid or carousel layouts.
- Create and revisit personal deck projects tied to approved source material.
- Create illustrated-book projects with one planned image slot per chapter.
- Select grounded story entities and events, craft prompts, edit them manually, and retain prompt history.
Development status
- Core authentication, database, API contracts, background worker, and staging infrastructure.
- Book preparation pipeline: chapter detection, entity and event extraction, source grounding, allocation, review, approval, and publishing.
- Redesigned Flutter library with grid and carousel layouts plus light and dark themes.
- Deck workspace with grounded story selection, prompt crafting, manual editing, and history.
- Illustrated-book workspace with chapter slots and seeded prompts in a limited rollout.
- Identity review for aliases and duplicate character records, with human approval before merging.
- Storage and attachment workflow for reference material shared by deck and book projects.
- Long-running reference-image jobs connected to the existing background worker.
- Consistent full-scene image generation and the user-facing image workshop.
- Deterministic card rendering, print-ready files, provider integration, and fulfillment.
Media
Current development client. Experimental character and reference images are intentionally omitted while that visual direction remains under evaluation.
